Air Vacuum Excavation Potholing
Air Vacuum Excavation is a process that safely excavates and pre-clears a location for test borings, monitoring or other excavating needs and helps prevent damaging buried utilities.
Air vacuum excavation is now required on many drilling jobs to ensure the safety of underground utilities and above ground personnel. Air vacuum excavation is cleaner than water based systems and safer. High pressure water jetting can actually penetrate and damage utilities. Air excavation can successfully open 90-99% of the holes you need. Water is an option on the machine if necessary. Air vacuum excavating is much faster than hand digging, and also enables you to clear more holes in less time. Even with hand tools, it's easy to damage a buried utility. Using air, which is a compressible fluid, damage is avoided. Using air eliminates the cost and time of mud disposal. M&R uses the equipment leader in Air-Vacuum Excavation.
